Research Showcase 2021: Interconnected Scotland

About this event

The Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities (SGSAH) is delighted to invite you to a launch reception via Zoom to introduce our new website ‘Interconnected Scotland’, an online showcase displaying the work of Arts & Humanities Doctoral Researchers across Scotland at 5pm on Thursday 2 September 2021.

SGSAH hosts an annual Doctoral Research Showcase to disseminate the innovative research being undertaken by arts & humanities Doctoral Researchers across Scotland.

In the absence of a physical showcase in these times of limited in-person interaction, we are delighted to launch our new online Research Showcase to share the diverse, exciting and pioneering work of arts & humanities Doctoral Researchers in Scotland being undertaken right now. Our overarching theme for 2021 is ‘Interconnected Scotland’.

Interconnected Scotland

Scotland and its researchers have connections with people, ideas, and communities around the world and across time. Scotland’s Doctoral Researchers in the arts & humanities offer a multiplicity of perspectives that can help us interpret an increasingly complex world, understand our past, understand ourselves, understand the world around us, and envision a brighter future.

The work showcased as part of Interconnected Scotland does all these things, whether that’s connecting the past to the present, exploring personal and generational identity, or providing discussions on culture, the environment, health, memory, history, and more.

We invite you to explore the showcases with us on Thursday 2 September 2021.

Staff and researchers from any discipline are welcome to join us.
