About Cameron’s Research:

The research concentrates on the strong connection between the archaeological interpretation of the culturally significant Neolithic remains of 5000 years ago and contemporary tourism activity in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The study will explore how tourism and archaeology information is managed and communicated at visitor destination, site, and individual visitor levels, and the potential role of Atlantic Consultants prototype transmedia narrative methodology and tools in translating research to achieve greater economic, cultural, and social benefits for the organisations, communities, and visitors involved. Case studies will investigate three contrasting locations in the region: The Ness of Brodgar, Orkney; Yarrows and the Neolithic landscape of Caithness; Calanais, Outer Hebrides.
