My research focusses broadly on inquiry and social epistemology. I am interested in questions concerning the nature and value of inquiry as an epistemic activity. More specifically, I am interested in what is involved in responsible epistemic practise; engaging with questions in the right sort of way, taking up the questions we ought to take up. My research on inquiry relates closely to the more explicitly social dimensions of epistemology. I am interested in the questions—both ethical and epistemic—that arise when analysing testimony as a source of knowledge and understanding.
