About Saoirse’s Research:

Saoirse Houtmeyers is a PhD student in Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, working in partnership with the BBC Research & Development. The project focuses on the future of scripted production practices, exploring the evolution of Artificial Intelligence in film and TV. The project aims to utilise participatory design research with scripted production practitioners in order to understand how future AI systems can be designed with sensitivity to the values of these practitioners.
