About Tomas’ Research:

A CDA collaborative project in partnership between University of Stirling and National Trust for Scotland. The aim of the research is to study the impact of changing materials, aesthetics, and technologies introduced through the conservation of built heritage, contextualising them as a set of negotiated relationships between sites, practices and communities. Working with the NTS, we will compare a diverse set of conservation projects across their portfolio, using a mixed method approach that will combine visual recording, archival study and ethnography.
