About Emma’s Research:
An interdisciplinary project in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and Traverse Theatre. This projects investigates recent developments in HCI and Data Science in conversation with theatrical form. For instance, how is digitally-mediated theatre defined, what is the current ‘State of the Art’, and where is this hybrid genre heading as new technologies develop? What is digital media’s impact on theatre and, in turn, what contributions can theatre offer to digital space? I am working with the Traverse Theatre to explore how this longstanding institution might accommodate digitally-mediated theatre into their infrastructure and will have the opportunity to conduct workshops and engagement events with the Traverse community.
