University of Stirling
I hail from the University of Manchester, studying first Archaeology and Anthropology (BA) and then Humanitarianism and Conflict Response (MA). For my doctoral study at the University of Stirling, I will combine these fields. Heritage is fluid, however widespread loss of cultural legacies can be devastating for communities and individuals. Using case studies, I will investigate the loss of heritage due to both conflict (Islamic shrines in Mali) and climate change (rock churches in Ethiopia), using my findings to establish human-rights-centred frameworks to enable policy-makers and NGOs to cope with future loss, especially as climate change intensifies.
