About Rhonda’s Research

Rhonda Rathburn

There has been significant progress in developing robust models for assessing the impact of library services and collections, however, there remains a gap in library assessment frameworks as they relate to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). This research will explore how to engage with, and represent, excluded and non-participant communities when assessing the success of library services in Scotland. Working with the National Library of Scotland, this project will explore how to reach and work with non-participant communities with an aim to develop engagement and assessment frameworks that amplify excluded voices and assist the library sector in the development of new methods and approaches to the diversification of library assessment practices.
